Where is Sapphire Beach Resort?
Sapphire Beach Resort is located on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, Central America. Ambergris Caye is the largest of many islands in Belize, and is Belize’s most popular tourist destination. San Pedro is the only town on the island. Sapphire Beach is located approximately 10 miles north of San Pedro, away from the hustle and bustle, but still easily accessible via golf cart or water taxi.
How do I get to Sapphire Beach Resort?
The first step is to get to Belize. Belize’s International Airport is named Philip Goldson International Airport, code (BZE). Airlines that service BZE include: American, Avianca, COPA, Delta, Southwest, TACA, Tropic Air, and United.
Guests arriving to Belize should opt to transfer via regional flight to the island of Ambergris Caye, a scenic 17-minute journey that will take you over Belize’s Barrier Reef. Tropic Air is Belize’s leading, domestic, commercial passenger airline offering air travel, tours, charters, and freight services.
The island’s airstrip is in the heart of San Pedro. We are pleased to arrange your regional flight (the flight costs US$157.75 per person) at no additional booking fee. This cost will be added to your account for payment upon booking. We provide this complimentary service to all our guests.

Once you land in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, a representative will meet you and will send you up to our property on the next available transfer.
Please note: Should you decide to make your own transfer arrangements between Belize City and San Pedro, you must provide the details to our office no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival in order to be scheduled for a transfer between San Pedro Town and our property, failure to do so may result in non-availability of transfer service.

During my stay, how can I travel to/from San Pedro Town?
Golf carts are a great way to explore the island and can be rented onsite or arranged prior to your arrival. Please email us at
firstname.lastname@example.org to request golf cart information and rates. We strongly recommend that during times of high occupancy such as Easter and Christmas, that you opt for pre-booking your golf cart to avoid the risk of there not being one available.
Should you wish to travel true island-style, the Coastal Xpress offers reliable water taxi service between Sapphire Beach and San Pedro Town several times per day. Tickets can be purchased at our Front Desk at a special discounted rate and charged to your room account or you can simply pay the full price in cash onboard.
What should I pack?
Ambergris Caye is a relaxed and laid-back island. Sapphire Beach offers the utmost in peace, serenity and relaxation so we recommend that you should pack comfortable clothing, and you may even bring your own dive gear. Insect repellent and sunscreen are a must, along with any medications and personal items such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, and contact lens solution.
