Sapphire Beach's commitment to creating local jobs doesn't end with the construction of the resort. As Sapphire Beach opens for our residents and guests, we will be employing front desk, restaurant, and other staff, all of whom will be local citizens.
Stadium Lights Sapphire Beach was glad to have a part in helping the San Pedro Sports Committee make improvements to the basketball court at Boca del Rio Park.
Sapphire Beach sponsors "life flight" to save young man's eye. Recently, a young man in Belize was accidentally shot in the eye with a pellet gun. Sapphire Beach paid for this young man to fly to a facility where doctors attempted to save his eyesight. Unfortunately, Belize did not have the proper equipment to save this man's sight in this eye.
250 Pairs of Shoes for School Children
Sapphire Beach has helped secure the donation of
250 pairs of new shoes for school children in Belize that
would otherwise not have them.
Angel Says: Read, A Belize Literacy Project
Sapphire Beach is proud to be part of the "Angel Says: Read" literacy project. Angel Says: Read is dedicated to providing books donated by tourists to the Belize public library system. When operational, our office will have a box that will be used to collect books that our residents and guests are done with to then forward to a Belize Public Library. If you have some books that you are finished with while you are in Belize, please let us know and we can collect them for this worthy cause.
The best way that Sapphire Beach can be a benefit to the community is by employing local workers. Every person involved in the construction of Sapphire Beach, from our General Contractor, to every laborer and Tradesman, is Belizean.
